29th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball: April 21
The University will host the 29th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball, a Black and White Gala, on Saturday, April 21, in the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center. This signature event is the University's primary scholarship fundraising initiative. Read more about this this year's event including the Distinguished Alumni and President's Award recipients. Make sure you are on the invitation list.

32nd Annual International Festival, April 14
The 32nd annual International Festival will be held on Saturday, April 14, in the Charger Gymnasium starting at 4 p.m. The International Festival provides an opportunity to engage and explore various cultures of the world and fascinating traditions through dance, food and music. Students Assist in Screening West Haven Youth
UNH dental hygiene students joined local dental professionals in volunteering to screen more than 150 youngsters’ oral health, as well as give tooth-brushing demonstrations and hand out goodie bags and t-shirts at Savin Rock Community School in West Haven. Executive Business Dean Interviewed on MSNBC
Larry Flanagan, executive dean of the College of Business, appeared on MSNBC’s "Dylan Ratigan Show" on Wednesday, Feb. 29, to discuss the Facebook business plan competition for incoming business students.  The challenge offers full-tuition scholarships to as many as four incoming students. Tagliatela College of Engineering News

Industrial Engineering Students to Redesign Space in
Bethany Town Hall
The Bethany Board of Selectmen announced a plan to partner with UNH and the Tagliatela College of Engineering to select an industrial engineering student to redesign the office and storage space in Bethany Town Hall. A UNH student will redesign the town hall as a senior project beginning in September. Read more about this partnership.
 

Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences News

Mario Gaboury Named Dean
Mario Gaboury, interim dean of the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, has been named dean following a national search. A full-time professor of criminal justice in the Lee College since 1996, Gaboury is recognized as an international scholar on global human trafficking, victimology, victims' rights, juvenile justice and community policing. Athletics

Plan to Attend the 2012 Chargers Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, March 31
The UNH Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2012. The 29th induction class includes Pierre Fils (football), Krys Furman (men's soccer), Shirley Hoyte-Boyce (volleyball), Kevin Kerkes (baseball), Ken Suhl (football), Mark Whipple (football coach) and the 1986-87 women's basketball national championship team. The Class of 2012 will be enshrined on Saturday, March 31, at Anthony's Ocean View in New Haven. Learn more about the honorees and event, including how to purchase tickets.
More Than 100 Student-Athletes Recognized
The Department of Athletics recognized 107 student-athletes recently at its annual Dean's List Breakfast. Nearly 200 student-athletes, family members, faculty and staff were in attendance to honor the achievements of the student-athletes. View the complete list of awardees, videos and photos.
