Tickets Going Fast!

December 2-4, 2011

Register Today

Re-connect with classmates, catch some rays and enjoy a fun-filled weekend in Miami. The experience includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Sun Life Stadium, followed by a private UNH Alumni reception and tickets to the Miami Dolphins vs. Oakland Raiders National Football League game.

Start your weekend at the Alumni Welcome Reception at Shula's Hotel & Golf Club on Friday, December 2. Enjoy an assortment of appetizers including grilled chicken kebab, crispy fried ravioli, BBQ pulled pork quesadilla, mushroom-bacon brochette and other delicious food, as well as beer, wine and soda.

Check out the inner workings of Sun Life Stadium on Saturday, December 3, during a behind-the-scenes tour led by Senior Director of Facilities and UNH alumnus Aaron Haviland, '97 B.S. Following the tour, head over to Duffy's Hall of Champions for a private alumni dinner reception featuring a delectable buffet and open bar.

No need to worry about driving to the stadium and paying for parking on game day, Sunday, December 4! Enjoy round-trip coach bus transportation from Shula's Hotel to the pre-game tailgate at Sun Life Stadium and back to Shula's Hotel after the game. Gear up for the excitement at the pre-game tailgate. Show your UNH pride and cheer on Miami Dolphins Head Coach and UNH alumnus Tony Sparano, '84 B.S., and the Dolphins as they take on the high-powered offense of the Oakland Raiders. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Sparano was a four-year player on the UNH football team. He spent nearly 10 seasons as a coach at UNH, including five as the head coach. He led the football team to the NCAA Division II championship game in 1997, making UNH the first school from Connecticut to play in a college football title game and the smallest school to play for the Division II football title.

The 2011 season is Sparano's fourth year as Dolphin's head coach. In 2008, his first with Miami, Sparano took over a team that finished 1-15 a year earlier and led them to an 11-5 record, capturing the AFC East title and the team's first postseason appearance since 2001. Sparano is the only National Football League head coach to lead a one-win team to the playoffs the following year.

During the regular season last year, Sparano's Dolphins defeated the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Green Bay Packers, in a thrilling overtime game in Green Bay.

This year, despite a tough start, the Dolphins have been competitive against some of the best teams in the NFL. The team is led by all-pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall and Cameron Wake, who is widely considered one of the best defensive players in the game.

Nationally Ranked Chargers No. 1 in the NCAA Division II Super Region One Rankings

The nationally ranked UNH football team (8-1 overall, 6-0 NE-10) returns home on Saturday, November 5, for its final regular season home game. The Chargers will face Pace University at 1 p.m. at Ralph DellaCamera Stadium on senior day.

Last weekend's 44-35 win over Merrimack College boosted UNH in national coaches' and media polls.

The Chargers remained No. 1 in the second NCAA Division II Super Regional One Rankings.

For the first time since entering the polls a year ago, UNH cracked the top 10 of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches' Top 25 Poll as they jumped three spots to No. 10. This was the first time UNH placed in the top 10 of the AFCA Top 25, since bringing the program back in 2009.

The Chargers also ranked No. 2 in the fourth 2011 ECAC Lambert Meadowlands Division II Football Poll Presented by FieldTurf. They previously were third.

UNH also moved up five spots to No. 13 in the D2Football.com Top 25 Poll.
