Scholarship Ball Raises Record Amount for
Students, Lee Institute
The University's 28th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball raised a record $860,000 to fund scholarships for students and programs at the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science. The ball, held April 16 in the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center on UNH's main campus, was attended by more than 400 guests. It honored three distinguished alumni and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Lee Institute. New Bartels Student Activity Center Dedicated
The University recently dedicated its new Bartels Student Activity Center. The 4,000 square-foot facility houses the career development office, as well as offices for student organizations and a multi-use space for students. Read more about the dedication and check out the photos.
Newsweek: "If My Dad Were Still Here"

UNH Honored as a 'College of Distinction'
The University has been named a "College of Distinction" by a national online higher education guide that recognizes selected colleges for their demonstrated excellence in four areas. Read more about this recognition.
New and Improved Online Version of Alumni Magazine
The new and improved online version of the University's Alumni Magazine is now live. Readers will notice a more interactive presentation that allows them to click on links for additional content and view streaming videos. Check out this new technology.

May 15: Baldacci to Speak at Commencement
The University will present degrees to approximately 615 undergraduate and 265 graduate students at its Spring Commencement ceremony on May 15. International best-selling author David Baldacci will deliver the keynote address and receive an honorary doctorate. Also receiving honorary degrees will be veteran television and corporate media executive Gail Brekke and philanthropist and community leader Jonathan Edwards. May 17: New London Campus Information Session
Sit down with a UNH representative to speak about programs available for working professionals in New London. June 6: 21st Annual Charger Classic
The University's Department of Athletics is holding the 21st Annual Charger Classic golf tournament on Monday, June 6, at the Country Club of Woodbridge. Registration includes a full day of golf, lunch, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner, team prizes and the opportunity to bid on outstanding auction items. Special awards include a $10,000 putting contest. Registration fee is $300 per person. Entrance fees are due by Friday, May 20. In conjunction with the 21st Annual Charger Classic, the University's Department of Athletics is holding its annual auction. Home is Where Her Heart is
UNH alumna Mary Lenzini, '80 M.A., president and chief executive officer of the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut, is profiled in TheDay.com for her work with veterans and the homeless. Read more about Lenzini, who from 1968-70 was the orthopedic head nurse at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland in addition to serving during Vietnam.
