$1 Million Gift to Renovate Original Campus Building
A gift of $1 million from an anonymous alumnus will fund the exterior renovation of Maxcy Hall, which was built in 1909 and is one of the original three buildings on the University of New Haven campus. Today, Maxcy Hall serves as the University's main administration building. Read more about this gift.
President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll Recognizes UNH
UNH has earned a spot in the 2010 President of the United States' Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll as announced by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The University, which has received this honor for three consecutive years, estimates that nearly 1,500 students volunteered more than 16,000 hours during the 2009-10 academic year. UNH to Host Cyclists in Ride to Promote ALS Research,
Volunteers Needed to Assist Riders
On Saturday, July 23, come to UNH to cheer on approximately 275 cyclists from across the country who will stop on campus for the second overnight of the annual three-day Tri-State Trek to raise money and awareness for research of ALS. Volunteers are needed to help set up the camp and serve food. Read more about the ride and how to volunteer.
Student Volunteers Reach Alumni Via YouTube
Ryan Freitas, '11 B.S., has worked at the Phonathon for that last four years. During this time, he found that every year it is increasingly harder to connect with alumni over the phone. One of the ways he chose to give back to UNH after graduation was to volunteer to reach out to alumni via YouTube. He hopes you will take 30 seconds to watch his important message. "The time you take could make all the difference for a UNH student," said Ryan.

Gagne Named Division II Women's Athlete of the Year
UNH track and field star Shannon Gagne, who recently won two national outdoor championships, was named NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. Summer Programs at UNH

Academic Youth Summer Camps
Academic Summer Youth Programs geared for a variety of age groups will run in July and August on the University's main campus. Registrations are available for one-week and two-week daytime academies in crime scene investigation, engineering and science for young women, musical theater and video production. ChargerREC Summer Youth Camp
The ChargerREC Summer Youth Program provides a great opportunity for children ages 6-13 to enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in a safe and comfortable environment. Activities include traditional team sports, arts and crafts and team-building exercises. Check out the ChargerREC website for more information and to register.
UNH Sport and Social League
UNH is offering a new Sport and Social league open to everyone! Compete recreationally in one of four sports (volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer and flag football), stay active and have fun! This is a great opportunity to reconnect with your friends, fellow alumni and community members!
