29th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball is April 21, 2012
The University will host the 29th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball, a Black and White Gala, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center. This signature event is the University's primary scholarship fund raising initiative. Read more about this this year's event including the three distinguished alumni and President's Award recipient. UNH President Steven Kaplan and Vice President of Enrollment Management James McCoy explain why the University is thriving amid economic turmoil, increased competition, shifting demographics and other trends affecting the higher education marketplace as well as the larger economy. UNH Expanding into West Haven Mall Space
A mostly vacant strip mall at 1209 Campbell Avenue will soon transform into Charger Plaza, a UNH development that will house English Language Services, a University partner program. Read more about the University's first step of expansion into Allingtown Village.

November 11: 10th Annual Veterans Day Celebration
Th UNH campus community helped commemorate the 10th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Keynote speaker Jim McCoy, Ph.D., vice president for enrollment management and a veteran of the Air Force, described Veterans Day as a time of celebration, remembrance and reflection. The ceremony included remarks from President Steve Kaplan; Anita Mancini, '10 B.S., '12 MBA, U.S. Air Force; and Henry Rowland, '03 B.S., U.S. Army.View the photos.
December 2-4: Fourth Annual Alumni Weekend in Miami
The fourth annual UNH Alumni Weekend in Miami was held December 2-4. The weekend included two receptions and a behind-the-scenes tour of Sun Life Stadium led by Senior Director of Facilities Aaron Haviland, '97 B.S. On Sunday, guests enjoyed a pregame tailgate party before cheering on Miami Dolphins as they defeated the Oakland Raiders 34-14. View the photos.
December 3: Alumni Reception in Winston-Salem, N.C.
On Saturday, December 3, more than 100 alumni, parents, students, staff, family and friends enjoyed a pregame tailgate reception in Winston-Salem, N.C., prior to UNH's NCAA Division II quarterfinal matchup against Winston-Salem State University. The Chargers, who finished the season 11-2, fell to the Rams 27-7. View the photos.

Internationally Recognized Scholar Named Dean
Lourdes Maria Alvarez, chair of the department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., has been appointed dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Haven. Read more about the appointment of Alvarez.

EMBA Program Accepting Applications
The University's Executive MBA program is now accepting applications. Founded in 1976, the second-oldest Executive MBA program in New England, challenges senior managers to reach beyond their comfort zone. The UNH Executive MBA program is designed with working professionals in mind.

UNH Receives Grant to Promote Entrepreneurial
Mindset in Engineers
The University was selected by the Kern Family Foundation to receive a $75,000 grant to develop classroom and co-curricular opportunities that foster an entrepreneurial mindset in engineering students. Read more about the grant.

Coach Rossomando Named Coach of the Year Finalist
UNH Head Football Coach Pete Rossomando has been named one of five Division II finalists for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award. Read more about this honor and how to vote for Coach Rossomando.

Moving at Top Speed
Wilkingson Germain, '04 B.S.
Wilkingson Germain, '04 B.S., has been moving at top speed most of his life. As a track and field standout in high school, Germain was recruited by several colleges, but he chose UNH. Today, Germain, director of acquisitions and investments for Lillibridge Healthcare Services, has established a scholarship for UNH track and field student-athletes. Read more about Wilkingson.
