Final Beam Placed on Henry C. Lee Institute
On Thursday, January 7, world-renowned forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee was joined by University President Steven H. Kaplan and other UNH leaders to inscribe their signatures on the final steel beam for the frame of the new Henry C. Lee Institute for Forensic Science building, which is expected to be completed in fall 2010. Read more about the topping-off ceremony.
Leaders in Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Business to Receive Honorary Degrees
The University’s Winter Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Charger Gymnasium, located on the University's North Campus. This year's commencement speaker will be Cecilia K. Carter and receiving honorary degrees will be Jeffery P. Hazell '83 B.S. and Dennis R. McGough '81 M.A.

March 15-April 5: Online Auction to Benefit Scholarships
The 27th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball's online auction is taking shape. Check out the items already committed for bidding: $50 Starbucks gift certificate, an autographed Peyton Manning helmet and trips to Chicago and Monterey, Calif. Make a donation to the auction and you’ll be helping raise money for UNH scholarships in addition to receiving a mention on the auction site that will link back to your own web page.
April 17: 27th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball
The University’s signature scholarship event of the year, the 27th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball, will be held on Saturday, April 17. The theme for this year’s Ball is “Give Locally, Impact Globally,” to emphasize the fact when you support UNH students in their quest for a college education, you also help the many people they will assist throughout their lives. We are honored to have Petra Construction Corp. as a lead sponsor. Please consider a corporate sponsorship, which will help support UNH students. Recognized at this year’s gala will be three distinguished alumni: Dr. James V. Cassella ’76 B.A., Lawrence P. Flanagan ’80 B.S. and Janice K. Van Aelst Exhibition at Seton Gallery
The Seton Art Gallery and the Visual and Performing Arts Department will present the recent works of Kevin Van Aelst, a conceptual photographer and part-time professor of photography at Quinnipiac University, from January 28-February 26. The exhibition, which will be held in the Seton Art Gallery in Dodds Hall, is free and open to the public.

Criminal Justice Club to Represent UNH at National Conference
The UNH Criminal Justice Club, one of the largest clubs on campus, with more than 100 members, is working to raise money to send 20 club members to the American Criminal Justice Association’s National Competition in Portland, Ore., this March. Here's how you can support these students.
