Admissions Website Rated Among Best in the Country
The University’s undergraduate admissions Website has been recognized as one of the best in the country. Read more about the “A” rated Website, which was one of only 93 colleges and universities sites in the nation to achieve this recognition.
Lyme Disease Research Receives Gifts
UNH’s Lyme Disease Research Program has received two donations totaling $15,000 from the Turn the Corner Foundation, a non-profit public charity dedicated to the support of research, education, awareness and innovative treatments for Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Read more.

April 16, 2011: 28th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball
Mark your calendar for the 28th Annual Alumni Scholarship Ball to be held Saturday, April 16, on campus in the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center. In addition to honoring distinguished UNH alumni, Dr. Henry C. Lee will receive the UNH Lifetime Achievement Award. Check out the photos from last year's event.

Alumni Weekend in Miami: December 3-5, 2010
Alumni, their families and friends spent December 3-5 in Miami for the third annual UNH Alumni Weekend. Guests enjoyed a weekend of activities including two receptions and a behind-the-scenes tour of Sun Life Stadium, led by Senior Director of Facilities and UNH alumnus Aaron Haviland ’97 B.S. The weekend concluded with a pre-game tailgate party prior to cheering on UNH alumnus and Miami Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano ’84 B.S. in a tough loss against the Cleveland Browns. Athletics

December 18-19, 2010: Women’s Basketball Team Travels to Washington, D.C.
On December 18-19, the UNH women's basketball team will be in Washington, D.C., for the University of the District of Columbia Classic. Come cheer on the Chargers on Saturday at 3 p.m. when they face the host school, UDC. On Sunday, UNH will face Shaw University at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
Make Your Nominations for the 2011 Hall of Fame
Nominations for the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2011 are now being accepted. The Class of 2011 will be inducted at Race Brook Country Club on Friday, March 25, at the Chargers' annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

English Professor Awarded NEA Poetry Fellowship
Assistant Professor of English Randall Horton was one of 42 writers selected from 1,062 candidates to receive a $25,000 Creative Writing Fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts. Read more about Horton and the fellowship.
Filmmaker Received Grant for Jim Crow Documentary
Communications and Sociology Practitioner-in-Residence Richard Wormser has received a $4,000 grant from Yip Harburg Foundation to begin research on a documentary based on the book, "‘The New Jim Crow," by Michelle Alexander. Read more about Wormser and the grant.

Fine Dining Campus Venue Named for Alumnus Jeffery Hazell
Thanks to generous gifts from Jeffery Hazell, ’83 B.S., there’s a new dining experience on campus, Jeffery’s Fusion Restaurant. His support, which includes weekly shipments of high-quality seafood, has resulted in renovation of a 60-seat restaurant that is fast becoming the hot spot on campus for gourmet dining.

Professor and Student Scouring the Sound
UNH professor Shannon Ciston and student Nicole Reardon are among a growing group of researchers investigating how nanoparticles affect people, animals and the environment. Read more about their research on Long Island Sound.

School of Public Service Established
UNH has created a new School of Public Service as part of the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. A leader in experiential education, the University of New Haven provides its students with a valuable combination of solid liberal arts and real-world, hands-on professional training. Founded in 1920, UNH is a private comprehensive university with an 80-acre main campus.
