UNH Moves Up to Top-Tier Regional University Status in “America’s Best Colleges”

University's First Green Building Receives LEED Gold Certification

University Magnet School Among Best in New Haven
Local and state school data has found that the Engineering and Science University Magnet School in New Haven is one of the fastest-rising magnet schools in the area. The school is a collaborative effort between New Haven's Board of Education and the University, and currently serves 160 students in grades 6 and 7. Read more about this top performing school.

September 11: Harmony Classic: UNH vs. Lincoln University
The UNH Chargers open their 2010 home football schedule on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. when they play host to the Lincoln University Lions in the 2010 NAACP Harmony Classic. Read about the Harmony Classic.

The Second Annual Football Alumni Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, with an 11 a.m. tailgate and 1 p.m. Chargers vs. Assumption College Greyhounds kickoff in Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium.View the photos from last year's event.
October 23: Homecoming 2010 – The Blueout: Is the Blue in You?
Celebrate Homecoming 2010 – The Blueout: Is the Blue in You? on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Alumni Tailgate Party at North Campus beginning at 11 a.m. Come cheer on the Chargers as they take on the Merrimack College Warriors at 1 p.m. in Ralph F. You are invited to an E.M.B.A. Information Reception – Experience The Program on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Room in Bartels Hall on the Main Campus. The reception will feature Dr. Armando Rodriguez who will discuss his new book, The Limits of Competition Policy: The Shortcoming of Antitrust in Developing and Reforming Economics. Truth, Lies and O-Rings: Insider Discusses Space Shuttle Tragedy
Allan J. McDonald, retired executive of the aerospace industry, will hold a free public lecture on Wednesday, Sept. 15, highlighting his role in the attempt to stop the launch of the space shuttle Challenger in 1986. The lecture will look at the Challenger tragedy and its aftermath from the perspective of an insider.

White-Collar Crime Expert Joins Faculty
Michael C. Clark, a 23-year veteran with the FBI, will share his professional experience with students in the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences as a senior lecturer. Read more about Clark and his work in law enforcement and private security.

A leader in experiential education, the University of New Haven provides its students with a valuable combination of solid liberal arts and real-world, hands-on professional training. Founded in 1920, UNH is a private comprehensive university with an 80-acre main campus. The University has an enrollment of more than 5,700; approximately 1,700 graduate students and more than 4,000 undergraduates, 70 percent of whom reside in university housing.
